Murdog, who voted Champ 'Em, says:
I am always amazed and incredibly interested when genius seems to appear from nowhere. Of course, there are great men and women who are raised up and groomed to be great. I would expect that. What interests me is when unbelievable outside-the-box thinkers pop up all by themselves. To have a vision about how the world should be and then the conviction and guts to actually make that vision happen...awesome. Love or hate Walmart, you have to deeply respect the man with the vision to create it.

Well, in no way is he a member of my g-g-generation (that's my second The Who reference on this site!),but Mr. Sam is an amazing retail pioneer. I don't agree with every decision made by the modern-day Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., but Mr. Sam's vision was brilliant and genuine. Not to mention, he is possibly one of the best examples of the American Dream--come from nothing, work hard, achieve great things.
