Comments about John Piper

John Piper has built an international ministry focused on mankind's primary calling ("to enjoy God and glorify Him forever"); he is authored dozens of books and speaks all over the world; he has built an online ministry that gives away numerous resources and a mountain of information; and he has inspired countless Christians. Yet in all of this attention to priority, focus, and execution that has put him on the national scene, he still lives off a pastor's salary, sending his book and speaking proceeds to a foundation that supports, among other things, international missions and outreach. In other words, he practices what he preaches. For me, that's a champion.
